Hi i had scanned my computer with avast cause i had virus and selected to delete all infections now i have no desktop icons and my background is blue when i click on start and go to all programs it only has windows xp repair in it now. I am not very computer illiterate.

I ran an OTL scan and when it is done two notepads come up each with a pop up that says The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. and the note pads are both blank.
