Hello,

I wanted to upgrade from Windows XP SP2 to SP3...but was concerned that it would be an issue with my external hard drives / backups.

One external backup is a Maxtor one touch - for important files

Second external backup / hard drive is for all files - using Casper 6.0 to backup everything.

Will the SP3 update be really complicated with the two external drives? will they still be compatible?

Let me know.

The SP (service pack) will not touch the hard drives. It is for updates to the OS. Similar to the individual MS updates you do except that it incorporates a lot more updates in to 1 pack.
