Thinkpad T23 recovery disks?

Hi,

I'd like to make recovery disks for my T23 and get rid of the hidden partition (which takes up 3GB of space) that holds the recovery info. I've tried contacting Lenovo about this, but no reply.

Apparently, you can make the CDs somehow, and somehow get rid of the hidden partition.

In hunting for the info, I've found that I'm supposed to press F11 while booting to access the feature. Doesn't work on my system.

Does anyone know anything about this feature?
