repair install over oem installation

I want to do a repair install on an acer laptop with the oem installation, xp pro sp3.

I have a slipstreamed xp pro disk with sp3.

Will this work with the oem installation or do I have to do a new install?


The "2" key is broken on the keyboard.
Will I need it to complete the installation. ( really :) )

It'll be fine.

You shouldn't need the "2" key.
