Hi all,

The site I am helping out on is being built in flash through an on line site builder (wix.com). However one of the problems we have come up against is that the owner wants an HTML application included that allows input from the user, and depending on what dates they select will come up with a quote for them. Normally this would be done via a server side application method using forms, but wix.com does not offer this service so it all must be done by script on the page.

A copy of the type of interface for the form is included in the attachment included (which is a screenshot of another site).

The intention is to give indicative pricing on travel insurance, so the user can then go to the on-line shop part of the site and purchase their requirement.

So,
a) Is code available that can be adapted (why re-invent the wheel?)
b) failing that, does anyone know of any online form building service that caters for this level of complexity.
c) any other solution I may not have thought about.

Regards.

Wix.com allows forms, but you must have a paid account with them I believe. If the form is going to be processed on another server, then you can insert the HTML in your flash page as is. If the form you have is just an example you need to write for the site, then you will have to get a paid account so you will be allowed a database and server-side scripting along with SMTP if form is to be emailed.
