Please close this thread. I have formatted the drive and reinstalled xp and it is running fine. the win ver of the fuji tools ran and found no errors. I did a full format not a quick as I did not want a root to grow again. Thank you Essex for all your help. Perhaps another time if need be. Email me if you ever need my assistance.
