NEED HELP with Scanning OCR Documents. Canon CanoScan Lide 110?


It DOES transfer it onto Notepad, BUT this is what it looks like:

Can someone tell me how to get this onto word as a document in ENGLISH so that I can edit it. I am complete dunce I am afraid. Is there a way of making this code readable? I NEED to be able to EDIT it as a document in Word. SOB.

A few questions:
Does the scanner come with a program?
Does this program happen with other paper? Try print out a piece of paper with some Times New Roman and see what the scanner picks up.
How long has this happened and since when?

Hi, Newbie Here:
Just got same scan.
OCR comes with install CD but the default is Notepad. Had scan without problems to notepad but the document has to
be sharp in the font, really black and no fancy formatting. If you try anything other than plain text, it will not work well.
Going to Cannon Site to see if there is an option for other document (word, excel, etc).
The PDF works good.

The scanner did not come with software, only drivers. But my local PC shop fixed me up with FREE OCR software from the internet. This works a treat and scanning to OCR now is easy. Problem solved
