Hi There,

My Microsoft Office Installation disk will not load. When I place it in the DVD/CD drive a Windows Explorer window opens, displaying the files. Also, the OSE.EXE file will not activate when it is double-clicked.

I have cleaned the disk thoroughly with a soft, dry cotton cloth. I have also tested the drive - DVD movies and other data disks work just fine, though I get the same result when I try to load any other *installation* disks. As you can see, this is a very serious problem.

I had to uninstall Office in the wake of a malware attack you guys helped me to fix, because the malware had rendered Office inoperative. When I tried to re-install, I got this problem.

Have you tried double-clicking setup.exe?

I had tried that before, but was unable to find the file. This time around I found it, and now Office is installed and running. Thanks for your help!! :-)
