Ok i'm a little confused... i have a Hotmail account (@hotmail.com) domain. Now i use Live Mail email client. From my understanding pop3 downloads the messages to the client and then they are off the server. Unless you tell the client via settings not to delete the mail off the server. Now normally POP3 doesn't allow you to view the Server folders (i.e if you have server folders to forward emails to) But on Live Mail you can create new folders, and view them, thus giving the impression of IMAP?

Does anyone know why this is, when hotmail only provide IMAP, also what is a HTTP server, as this is what it says as server type in the settings? In addtion to this, IMAP = delete off client will delete off server and this does not happen it only sends to "deleted messages" once its deleted from there it deletes off server (suggesting POP3), also the incoming server = pop3.live.com

confused :)

i am confused can anyone clear this up for me??
