When I attempt to restart and/or shut down my system in the middle of the process the circular motion on the blue screen that either says shutting down or restarting freezes and will not continue and i have to manually shut down the computer by holding in the power button for 10 seconds then reboot. How do i solve this problem?

The first thing to check is the event viewer for any RED problems. This sounds like some software is not shutting down. A description of your computer and summarys of the event viewer problems would help a lot.

I'm attaching a screen shot of the event viewer...alot of red. My computer specs are listed in the profile, I'm not sure what other information I should submit.

you are having network problems. The network problem is also causing a windows update problem( CAPI2).

Event ID 1001 — DHCP Client

Event ID 4107 - CAPI2

Windows Kernel event ID 41

I hope these can help.
