Hmm it seems you were getting the first revision of the bios and there should not be any or much of them left out there.
I have a Asus Crosshair III and a AMD quad core. They worked right out of the box and with only a bios settings to activate the cores everything worked flawlessly.
A little more expensive but a very stable board for sure.

I wish I didnt have to upgrade the Proc and memory for that one but hey maybe I'll just back up the data and go AMD, I like em better anyhow.

Yep the free shipping on the cpu is great. If you can find a mobo to go with the cpu and it also has free shipping you would have a great deal. Don't forget the memory also.
In that lot of memory there has to be the right type and with free shipping.
