Good Morning,
I hope I did not do anything wrong . As you see there was nothing to fix when I check with HijackThis.
The same with with "favorites" and C:\WINDOWS\system32\feqbufsc.exe - I can't find them. I will reboot and post another HiJackThis log.

Yes, this file needs to be deleted:

C:\WINDOWS\ystpmyx.exe

Your log looks good, I don't see anymore of those files popping up!

We need to delete abcsearch4u out of Microsoft Anti-Spyware otherwise it will put them back. Here is how to do that:

Open Microsoft Antispyware.
In the right upper corner go to Advanced tools
Please click on 'Change restore setting to a new URL'. Change it to something you like to use as your homepage.
If prompted for the change, allow it.
Then, when the left hand side is showing a 'good' restore, press 'restore this setting now'.
We need to make sure abcsearch4u is not still being saved by Microsoft Anti-Spyware.

After that is done, reboot and post another HijackThis log to make sure MS Anti-Spyware didn't put anything bad back.

Now it is quite different. On the beginning kind of slow - maybe - too many programs running on start. Would you advise me what I should have from antiSpy programs in my computer? Is the file in green OK?
Thank you for now. I do not miss abcsearch4u.

The item in green is legitimate and nothing to worry about :tazz:

We can speed up your system, though!

The below items are optional fixes that will free up system resources when removed from startup. My comments are in red.

Run HiJackThis. Place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WorksFUD] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\wkfud.exe
This is a marketing program for MS Works and it is not needed on startup.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe
This checks for updates for MS Works, just go into the program if you want to see if any updates are available. Not needed on startup.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
Update scheduler for RealPlayer. Not needed on startup.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
Tray icon for Windows Messenger. Can be run by go to start > all programs > online services. Not needed on startup

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] \WkDetect.exe
Same as the one above for MS Works. Not needed on startup.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MsnMsgr] "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe" /background
Tray icon for MSN Messenger. Can be run by going to start > all programs. Not needed on startup

O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE
HUGE resource hog! Not needed on startup.

Close HiJackThis.

Reboot, post a new HiJackThis log and let me know if it's running any faster!

Good Morning,
You are the wizard. It is indeed. Actually there is clean sweep window after start - I do not remember setting this up - which is a slowing factor too. Maybe Spy Sweeper is causing the same but this one could be useful.

The cleansweep is actually from Norton. Would you like to leave it on startup?

Hi,
Thank you.
It takes time to open the things but it is better. Maybe there is too many things for this computer. May I ask you if you would be so kind looking at the log from my laptop? There is no problem but it was preloaded with a lot of annecessary programs. Let me know if it OK?

I LOOK AT OLD LOGs. I CAN BELIEVE IT WAS THE SAME COMPUTER !!!

Is the one in green the one I need?

It looks good!! If it's still a little slow, I agree that there just may be too much stuff for that system.

The item in green is fine, but you can remove it if you want ;)

Run HiJackThis. Place a check next to this item and click FIX CHECKED:

O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Works Calendar Reminders.lnk = ?

Close HiJackThis.

I would be happy to take a look at your laptop log. :tazz:

Thank you.
I did erase MW calendar. There was a widow with the error but everything is OK and computer is running like the new one.
I see the laptop has a lot of unnecessary things beginning with Netzero.
Waiting to hear from you.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TPNF] C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TouchPad\TPTray.exe
Tray icon for Touchpad configuration. Available via start > control panel. Not needed on startup.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [EzButton] C:\Program Files\EzButton\EzButton.EXE
EZbutton is a quick launcher for the Media player app that comes with certain laptops. Not needed on startup.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
