Hi All,

I've been having a problem with my computer screen for a number of weeks now. When running some applications ( i don't think the application type matters), i get a series of mutlicoloured vertical lines covering the whole screen (CRT). The only way to get rid of them is to reboot.
I haven't got into the nitty gritty of changing monitors, cards etc but i have messed with resolution settings. None of these changes have worked.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alani. Welcome to Geeks to Go. Lots of things it could be. You could mess with the setup buttons on the monitor itself. In there somewhere should be "degauss". You could try that. Could be your video card, could be the monitor. Try the simple things first. Maybe swap the monitor first, then the video card etc. You could try updating to the current drivers for the video card and monitor if you haven't already done so.
