ok hear it is im running a ibm netvista 8305-42u with a power supply of 305w windows xp and a pci graphic card 5600geforce and i need to upgrade it and i was wondering if the NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 1GB DDR2 128Bit DVI VGA HDMI FAN Retail would b compatible with this system hope someone can help me out with this

That is a PCI Express card. That will not fit in your machine.
It takes the older type, AGP. These cards are beginning to dry up in availablitity now and there's only about two models going, both of which are not really very good in the grand scale of things.

If your intention is to upgrade the machine to support gaming, then realistically that machine is not going to cope.
