I am a novice with computers. I have windows xp and i tried to upgrade internet explorer. I have dsl on my home computer.When i try to connect to internet i get little or no connectivity.i do not have a network but when i tried to diagnose it said somthing about a network address was not assigned.

If you are plugged in directly to your DSL modem then i would call your service provider and go thru your setting again with them.
