My Laptop wont let me use the mousepad and WASD keys at the same time?

I Have an Acer Aspire 5332 laptop and i have discovered, while trying to play FPS games, that while i am moving with the W,A,S and D keys that i can cannot move my camera with the mouse pad. Due to another problem with my laptop a USB mouse is not an option any more (even thought that used to fix the problem). This is not just a problem with games, it happens with any other program that requires me to use both a letter key and the mouse pad at the same time!!!
I would be greatly thankful if someone could assist me,
