No sound on laptop through Saffire 6

I am using the Focusrite Saffire 6 USB on my laptop, however cannot hear any audio through it.
The saffire 6 works perfectly on my PC so it is definately an issue with the laptop.

My Laptop:

Acer
Aspire 5536
AMD Athlon ™ X2 Dual-Core QL -64 2.10GHz
4.00GB RAM
32 bit operating system

Windows Vista HOME PREMIUM

FURTHERMORE: i just uninstalled the drivers to try reinstalling them, and now when I download them I get this error message:

Createfile failed; code 5: access is denied

Please help!!
