I have an hp pavilion a6109. The motherboard is shorted out and I need a new one. The type of motherboard is an ASUS M2N68-LA. I am having a hard time finding a compatible board to replace it, can anyone help me?

For a basic upgrade at just a slightly higher price i like the gigabyte MB combo at this link.

For a much better upgrade i like this one. It may be a bit more expensive if your memory is 667 version as the lowest for this mb is 800.
