lost our Firefox one day. now just Safari

one day we got a pop up that stated something about new version, etc... and altho noone in house recalls pushing "yes" to download, something happened. we totally lost our Firefox app. We now only have Safari. Our op system is OS10.4.3 , older cuz this one wont allow the 10.5 How can we get the Firefox app back? we have no sofware and I did try a trick one guy suggested - pushing "control" then the download button together from the Firefox download page. that did nothing. Thanks[/i]
