What brand make and model is it?
Does it turn on and do you get post screens?
Does it get to the windows welcome screen at all and if so what happens?

In case you don't know what a post screen is. A POST screen (stands for Power On Self Test) is the writing that briefly appears when you turn a computer on. An example looks like this:

Or you may have a picture (logo of HP or Toshiba or Dell for example) instead of the writing. Either the writing or the picture counts so let rshaffer61 know if you see this.
