So, you did not need the CD afterall. Take that option. The first window will indicate the OS and the drive letter where is located. Let me know the letter. At that window select Repair my computer, then Command prompt. Type Notepad and identify the drive letter to the USB drive. Let me also know that letter.

Restart the computer and tap every other second on F8. This time select "Enabble Boot loggin" and let the computer boot.

Let me know the drive letters to the OS and flash drive.

Go back to the Advanced Menu, Repair your computer -> Command prompt. Type Notepad C:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt and press Enter. If the document opens, save if in the USB drive and attach it to a reply.

I have gone up and right in that log and I don't see anything wrong. I am removing some orphan entries.

Download the enclosed file.

Save it in the USB drive replacing the existing one.

Run FRST64 as you did before and press the Fix button just once and wait.(You don't need the CD now as you can do this throughout the Advanced menu)

The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt) please post in your next reply. If too long, attach it to a reply.

Attempt to boot in Normal mode and let me know of any difference.

  • Run FRST64 once again.
  • Remove the checkmark from drivers and services
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach it to your reply.

I will review this report and let you know tomorrow.
