I had to install this to run some programs that were suggested to me on this forum in previous posts. Do I really need to keep this? If not, how do I uninstall it?

My system - HP Pavilion 750n, 1.6 Ghz Pentium 4 processor, 768 MB RAM, Windows XP is the OS.
