What I'm looking to do is write a script (we use Ruby On Rails) that would search a foreign webpage every x amount of time, say 6 hours, jump to a certain (permanent) section and grab the text in that section, and then store it in a variable for use in a page hosted on our own server. This project would grab specials from several different college dining halls for each day of the week and display them on a single page.

Could anyone get me started on this? There's actually a second part to this question, but it's not as important so it can wait.
