I'm sorry I'm just now bumping this up. I completely forgot about posting and mom never complained about the driver issue though she's still having it. Here is her screen shot and I will be making a post about my own problems in the Windows 7 thread. I hope someone can help me because I have school work to do and I have CPU usage at 100%. I will include everything I have done already in that post.

5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.

Hard drive is running great as far as temperature so no issue there.
What is the make and model of the Dell system we are working on?
I can then find the exact drivers for the sound card.

Dell Dimension E520.

She's also replaced her sound cards, but I remember downloading the drivers from the dell site itself so I don't know what happened.

If she replaced the soundcard then the Dell drivers are of no use then. I would need to know what the new soundcard make and model is to find the correct drivers.

I already installed those ones as well. Took me forever to find the right one before she could hear anything from her computer. Should we just try installing the ones from the dell site again to be sure? I don't remember seeing E520 on the page when I was downloading anything.. I had it acquire the computers details itself instead of putting in the numbers like she did tonight, though she said she put in the numbers the first time. I don't know. I'm more worried about my own computer right now =\

Well we can pause on this one and just work on yours if you wish. Since I am assisting on both I have no problem with working on just yours right now. :)
