Try clearing your browser cache and cookies and then restart your browser.

Posted Image Thanks for the quick reply.

Well, the funny thing is, I do that every time I stop browsing. Not only is my browser set up to do this automatically (log in screens are always blank, for example) and after that, I daily clean with a temp cleaner...

Also, the little green "click to configure post button" does shop up as normal, and works as well.
Even stranger, it shows the like word in both Chrome and FFin stead of the little green button... :)

Could this have anything to do with it?

We use a content delivery network, or CDN to improve site performance. A CDN caches content so that you can pull it from a server close to your location, instead of always pulling from our server located in NYC. The farther you are from NYC, the more benefit a CDN offers.

However, because the content is cached, images like avatars and profile pics are not updated instantly. It generally takes a few hours for the content to be pushed out to all the edge servers. There are some workarounds using the CDN's API, and we'll hopefully be able to implement them soon.

Could be but strange I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. I will ask one of the Reds to take a look at this topic and see what they say.

Hm...I get the same + Like 0 just like AD as well...no little green button for me. Posted Image

Also, I thought this Reputation thing came about within the last year or so and the first time I clicked that + next to Like it also gave me the this action failed : done message, too! As a matter of fact, I still get that message every time I click + Like.

And Ron, my browser is so clean and sparkly I have to wear shades! Posted Image

I won't give you the long technical explanation, but this has been very difficult to diagnose and fix. There are also a couple of other minor areas of the site affected by what appear to be a related issue. I've spent hours on a dev server trying to fix this issue by eliminating variables, without any success. At this point it appears to be a server configuration issue. While I've eliminated a lot of possibilities, I can't say I'm much closer to a solution. It's especially frustrating as I'd like reputation to have a more prominent role on the site.

The server admin and I have some time next week scheduled to work on this and other issues.

Thank you admin. I truly didn't realize it was an issue until Amst3rDamag3 brought it to our attention.

Reputation or not, my eye sees this forum as the finest with the most reputable members that had ever gathered in a single place in cyber space.

Without your desire to share your wisdom and talents and to make this site the best for all to learn from, my future would be a black hole just waiting to suck me into.

Nope nothing, I don't use social network stuff at all.
I do use the AdBlock extension, and I will uninstall it soon to rule that out.
It's just a tiny, minor glitch, the -like- thing works as well and if you want me to test / try something else, please let me know.

Not sure if it's related; but I seem to have lost the ability to insert additional information (small grey text under topic title) when I start a new topic.
Thanks for the support, unbelievable even these small things get so much attention  :)

Kind Regards,

Nope, just depends on the skin you use.

Not sure if it's related; but I seem to have lost the ability to insert additional information (small grey text under topic title) when I start a new topic.

That feature (topic description) is no longer supported by future versions of the forum software. We decided since any information in the field was going to be lost anyway that we'd remove it early.

Nope, just depends on the skin you use.

Now you mention it, changing skins works great.

I'm sure you'll fix it, good luck with the sifting.

Seems like a wise decision to do it right away then, to avoid confusion.
I'll miss it though, but I'll try to manage :)
