Flashing desktop

Yeah I think I have a malware or something and I think it's a registry problem but I have no idea where to look. I'm getting a flashing of a yellowish greyish background and I can't even right click on it to check the properties. There was a display about my computer being infected so when I went to Control Panel to change the desktop, I get this flashing background. Any ideas?

First of all, go to This Thread and follow the instructions exactly..

Once finished, go to the Malware Forum and post an HJT log for the guru's there to take a gander at!!
