Hello All:
On 7/31/2011, I noticed that I had a window popping up for Optimizer PC Pro. After this, I notice that a number of strange windows started to pop up as well such as "unable to locate object." The computer also started moving incredibly slow. So I contacted a registry cleaner company, paid the $39 fee and had them do an assessment. They advised me that I had malware on my computer, and that is was not a software problem. They told me that I either needed to take the computer to a local shop, or pay them $299 to fix it. This sounded suspicious so I told them no and asked for my $39 back. Since then, the pop up windows have stopped but it still remains slow. Now within the last week, I have been unable to download anything. The download window comes up, I press Open, it immediately closes and nothing else happens. I have tried clicking on Save with the same results. I would try another browser but cannot download one. I also tried Old Timer, but again could not download it. Please advise. Thank you in advance.
