Whenever I try to check for updates, I get Error Code 80070005. How do I resolve this error? Thank you in advance.

I am on the Administrator account.

Hi Alphy,

Has Windows Update worked before? If so when was the last time it worked?
I see that you have a user account with Admin privileges. Are there any standard user accounts on the computer. If so is it possible that the password is the same for both types of accounts?

Thanks for replying.

The most recent recorded Windows Update Check took place on 5/18/11. And no, there aren't any standard user accounts on the computer.
