hello again... my xp doesnt start... only f2 key works... when i put the recovery disk and press R it says me that there isnt a hard disk drive.. so ask me what do u need and tell me how to do it and i will do it right now :)) please help me

also i checked my ram with memtest program it didnt give me any errors.. it looks like my hard disk doesnt work...

Did you check the bios to see if the hard drive was identified there first?

Usually the bios is accessed by clicking the Del key when you first turn your system on. Since you have not provided any information on your system I can't tell you exactly what the key or keys you have to click to enter your bios.

OK so once you enter bios go to the screen that shows all your drives that are installed. Does the hard drive show on there?

on the main page it shows me the processor and ram but it doesnt show anything for the hard disk

It doesn't show a hard disk or it doesn't show the list of any drives?

Ok there should be a general area or a area like identify hard drives or something like that.

ok i found it... on advanced >> Primary IDE Master... and it says me everything for the hard disk...
