NEED ADVICE ON ROOTKIT REMOVAL

Want to ask about rootkits -- I'm not too tech savvy, but ran AVG for Rootkits and found 2. AVG seems to have removed them..I also ran TDSSKILLER & they now seem gone. QUESTION: Should I be looking for something else? Running something else? Or can I feel confident the rootkits are gone?
