Windows XP is not detecting my DVD drive. I notice that during boot-up, my BIOS detects the drive on the Secondary IDE Master. But windows refuses. Anybody got ideas?

Does the device show up in device manager with a yellow ! ? This would mean it needs a driver. If it does not show up at all, check your power and EIDE cable connections, and the jumper settings on the drive.
