Looking to replace my 5200 rpm drive to at least 7200rpm. I'd like to use WD VelociRaptor 300 GB SATA Hard Drives ( WD3000HLHX) buy not sure it will fit. my rig is acer aspire 7552g-6061. Any help out there?

Hello,

No it will not fit. I have used VelociRaptor drives before and they are properly stuck in a 3.5" heatsink enclosure because the drives run hot. Removing it from this and putting it into a laptop would be disastrous.

If you want size and speed, go for a 7200rpm drive. If you are looking at sheer speed and don't have a lot of data, go for an SSD drive.

Cheers
