Windows unresponsive on startup

Hi: i have a desktop running XP.ON startup (after windows has loaded) the desktop remains unrespomsive for at least 5 mins.The Pc is 4 years old, however this is a relatively new problem (three months or so).Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you look in Task Manager and see what's eating up all your CPU and/or RAM?

My cpu usage is only 11% or is that high? Is there a way i can take a screenshot so you can have a look?

Yeah, just press the Print Scrn key and your view is copied to the clipboard. Then just open MS Paint and paste it in there. Save it as a .jpg.

11% is fine. Is it at 11% when your computer is unresponsive?
