Display Properties GONE!

I got a message when opening up my yahoo mail that my display resoluation was not set to where I could view my mail the right way. It told me to right cick on the desktop and click properties, so I did.

When it brought up the box, there were no tabs at the top or anything the only thing it showed in the box was the theme with a copy of my desktop pic\\\

i also went to my computer and tried it that way, clicking on "display" and got the same thing.

What do i do?
