Hello

Go here and click Install .Net Framework 4. Install it and then reboot.
Check if there are any updates and then try to update again

Hello

According to this MS article (method 1), you need to download this fix.
Let it fix what it wants and then reboot and try to update again

I saw that as well. I downloaded the fix, installed it, during which it created a restore point, but I cannot find any sign of anything to double click in order to RUN the program to fix whatever it needs to fix.

Actually the file isn't an installer. After it creates a restore point then it fixes all the things it must fix. Did you try to reboot and then try to update again?

Honestly don't know whats going on. Some updates got done, i checked for new ones and those two showed up again (27.7MB and 37.7MB) and still wont install. Thanks for your patience Michael, but if its not that important, i guess we could leave it alone.

Hello,

It's important to install all security updates

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories then right click on Command Prompt and Run as Administrator. Then type (with an Enter after each line).

sfc /scannow

(SPACE after sfc. This will check your critical system files. If it asks for a CD and you don't have one or it doesn't like your CD just tell it to SKIP.)

sigverif

Press Start in the new window. This will check your drivers. If you just get a few when it finishes tell me what they are. If you get a lot just look for those with newish dates (since about the time the problem started.)

Next:

Open Windows update
Click on one update that won't install.
When you select it, it should display information about it at the right panel.
It should display its name and then a code in parenthesis, like this:

Security update for Microsoft Net Framework 4 [....] (KB2534354)

For example, at the snapshot you posted at post#29, the selected update's code is KB2416473
Posted Image

I need you to tell me the code in the parenthesis of all the updates that won't install.
