Today, 14/9/11, I had 12 updates to install from Microsoft.
One of them KB2553065 is called "Office 2010 File Validation update", and is listed as an "important" update.

My PC does NOT have anything to do with Office 2010 installed, nor ever has to the best of my knowledge, so WHY am I being "encouraged" to install this particular update? Is it just more Microsoft spyware?

Help would be appreciated. In the meantime I've "hidden" this update until I get some more useful info from you guys.
