Dell Laptop Freezes

The freezing issue may be the result of overheating caused by 1: Dust 2: A faulty AC adapter 3: A combination of the AC adapter generating extra heat and dust build up increasing the heat further 4: A failed or clogged CPU fan and/or heat sink, when if ever was the inside of the case cleaned out of heat trapping dust, can you hear the CPU fan running normally when the laptop will operate, what type of surface do you use the laptop on and how many sticks of Ram are fitted?
