I just reinstalled xp pro on a friends computer. I am going to activate and update drivers later today. My question is, once I have the drivers updated, what applications should I load to keep the computer running smoothly and protected?

Thanks,
CG

Microsoft Security Essentials and perhaps the old end of life Kerio Personal Firewall 2.15

Don't slow down his computer by loading a lot of bloat. :)

Thanks skifxr! I haven't checked the computer's specs, so I'm not sure what its working with, not much I'm pretty sure. So I need to keep apps at a min.

Almost forgot. After and if you load the firewall. Import this reg file or you will get occasional buffer errors.
