Hello,

I'm new to this forum, and found this topic in another thread, but it was from 2010 and I wasn't sure if the steps were still applicable.

About a week or so ago, I noticed that my Hotmail account was automatically sending out emails to everyone on my contact list with a link to a variety of products. I checked my sent folder and the emails are in there, but I can guarantee that I haven't authored any of them.

I have McAfee Security and when I run the scan it says that I have no viruses and that my system is secure. However, it also says that I have 10 trojans, but doesn't tell me where they are. I downloaded a free Malware software last weekend and ran it, but still no changes - still have trojans and my Hotmail account is still sending out random emails.

Yesterday throughout the day nothing was sent from my account so I thought the problem was solved, but by the evening I had "postmaster failed" delivery notifications in my inbox. I changed my Hotmail password last night.

Please help....I want to stop annoying my contacts!

Thanks!
