Hello I'm new....Don't hurt me! o.o

I posted this problem on a other website and a member there led me to this site. The problem is as follows;

I have made this amv/slideshow project in Windows Movie Maker and want to convert this project into a video suitable for sharing it on other computers and on the web. But every time I try converting the project by clicking 'Save Moviefile' (Filmbestand opslaan) etc. My computer starts converting but some where 75% through my computers screen flashes the blue screen of death and restarts itself.

On advice of the member who led me to this site I let the program WhoCrashed analyze the problem and this is what it came up with;

Welcome to GeekstoGo

Please go start run and type msinfo32

On the System Information window that opens, please select system summary. Then on the edit tab click select all and copy.
Paste that into your reply.

Expand components click display and do the same please

Expand software environment, select startup programs and do the same again please.

Now go start, right click My Computer, click properties and then click the hardware tab and then device manager. Are there ANY warnings against any entries please.
Whilst there, click the view tab and click to show hidden devices and check all again please.

Please post that information.
Whilst I analyse the results, please try again to convert the project with your anti-virus disabled and nothing else running except that conversion application.

So have you tried this please

Whilst I analyse the results, please try again to convert the project with your anti-virus disabled and nothing else running except that conversion application.

If there is it is a yellow or red mark against the entry

Further to the results from System Information - which anti-virus is installed on this computer please.
Also please go start, right click My Computer entry, click Properties and on the window that opens it will show the ram installed what does it say please. just the amount

According to what you posted it reports 1024Mb which is 1GB but available ram is ONLY 144MB which means that something is using a lot of ram.

Press Ctrl Alt Delete that will open Task Manager. Click the Process tab. The click the sub tab Mem.
When you have that on the screen, press the Print Screen key. Now go start, programs accesories and Paint. When you have paint open click the edit tab and then click paste. The image of the Task Manager will appear in Paint. Click the File tab and save as.
It defaults to Bitmap which is too large to attach. Select JPEG, by clicking on the arrow to the right of Bitmap. Save the image and on your reply, click Use ful leditor and then attach the image.

I tried converting it without antivirus software and without anything open except windows movie maker converting the project. Didn't work.

Oh and there seems to be warning against a entry afterall namely; PCI Simple Communications controller. Which under the category 'Overige Apparaten' (<-sorry don't know how translate that to english.).

Oh and I don't have a anti-virus software on the moment (my bad I know >.>:). It's because the last anti-virus program I used screwed over my computer forcing me to re-install Windows XP.

Well, the last anti-virus may not have proved very successful but running without one is the kiss of death, if you use the internet which I presume you do.

However that computer will never successfully do the task you are asking it to do.
The processor runs at 1.80Ghz that is 1800Mhz.
Please do not be annoyed and think that I am condemming your computer as not suitable for anything, but there is always a limit and to do the job you are asking of it you need
a faster processor.
Additionally to that it appears you have 512Mb of ram. But when Windows is running and without anything else, you have insufficient to run that conversion.
The minimum it is likely to run with is 1Gb

That all said, the more important aspect is the very strong possibility that your computer is infected.
I am not saying that it is but running without any anti-virus is likely only to achieve one result and that is a Malware infection.
I will post back shortly.

No hard feelings mate I know my computer is crappy and old. If I can save up enough money I will buy a new one (I'm poor though so that plan might take awhile o.o).

And I'm willing to install anti virus I just don't know which antivirus is safe and easy and won't screw my computer over. >.>

Would you please go to this link.
http://www.geekstogo...cleaning-guide/

Read carefully the advice there and follow the procedure outlined.
Please provide in your post in the Malware forum a link to this thread, so that the Malware expert can see what has been posted here.

If you could also kindly inidcate on this thread, that you have posted in Malware, I would be obliged.

Good luck with it, once you have a clean bill of health, you can always come back here and we can see what if anything can be done, but the real stumbling block is the small amount of ram.
