hardware problems

Well vxd error usually means there is a problem with the driver for that particular piece of hardware. Have you try to download the latest drivers for that piece of hardware? That will usually fix it. For more info on vxd errors check these sites.

i have tryed your suggestion but it didnt work anybody have any more suggestions

Maybe ...... but you'll have to be more specific about what the VXD error is.

this is the exact error i recieve.(An exception oe has occurred at 0028:00770076 in vxd ---. This was called from 0028:c1839c20 in vxd voltrack (04) + 00000430).i have tryed my hard drive in a different pc and it works fine with the cd rom i have tred a different hard in my pc and it works fine with the cd rom so i can only asume its a clash with my hard drive and my cdrom.chris

no i have easy cd creator 5 basic

Un-install it especially the DirectCD option.. Now see if you still get the error..

Nice Call Murray - hope that puts this to bed. As an aside, Adaptec/Roxio can also be patched.
