Can't run any programs or Internet

I was playing a game when the entire computer froze. I then tried ctrl-alt-del but I ended up having to manually reset my laptop. Upon restarting, I was unable to run any programs and my AV did not start.

Can you inform myself please what Operating System is installed on your Laptop?

manually reset my laptop

Do you mean you invoked the Recovery Partition and reset the machine back to as was when first purchased?
