network adapter not being seen by windows

I recently installed a new motherboard ms 7548 and processor amd quad 4 windows didnt dectect the network card on the motherboard so i bought a pci express network card and windows still doesnt detect it im getting the orange and green lights on the card and i installed the drivers but windows doesnt show it in the device manager it doesnt even show network adapters any ideas?

Have you checked in the BIOS that Network adapters are enabled?
