I understand and IMHO the best route to take is if you are going to replace the drive is to do a complete fresh install of your OS. That way you know nothing that may possibly be causing the issue on the SSD will be transferred over. If you feel the issue is the SSD itself then using Acronis True Image should make a exact copy of your hard drive.

I agree...it just takes SOOOO long lol. I am worried that my current windows suite wont activate though...I have already used it twice. I will go through the malware stuff though, just in case. Might save me alot of money. IF I do decide to go with getting a new HDD, is there anything I would need to do to the drive out of the box to get started?

You will have to partition it and then format it using NTFS. Once that is done the just install your OS.

You can use this tutorial HERE to do a Clean Install of Win 7.

Hmm...I didnt do anything like that on my Solid State. I just straight up installed it.

Also on the malware stuff..all it says is run a quick scan... and then Post a topic. Is that all I am supposed to do, and then wait for instructions?

Also, check this link...it says that HDD diagnostic tools dont work for SSD.

When you do a fresh install of any OS it does the partition, format and install itself.
It has to or there is no way the installation can happen.

Yes and a malware tech will be with you shortly. Post the link to your malware topic here and I will see about getting a malware tech to help quickly.

The fact it says it won't work is why I think the results are bogus and the drive may be the issue. It is better to make sure all the way around then wonder if there is a possibility it may not be cause completely by the drive.

I decided to do some other trouble shooting steps before I went to the malware techs. I manually set my RAM timings to what the manufacturer says they should be, and I ensured my cpu was running at the manufacturer recommended speed. I am also going to call a computer place to see if they can test each one of the components and determine if they are faulty or not. Assuming all of THAT fails, then its off to the malware techs.

Well, Its only been changed for about an hour, so well see...I wiped both of my hard drives and reinstalled windows on my HDD instead of my SSD...thereby ruling out my SSD. I'm currently installing drivers, and we will see what the computer techs say tomorrow. I can say one thing, after I finally fix my computer and get it running like I intended it, I'll have learned so much more about computers, haha

It is a learning process for sure and I would be really interested in if you do end up taking it in and having them test everything what they find out.

Ok, so the computer person didnt find anything wrong with my set up, either hardware or software. But I did so some things that seems to have fixed the issue. First, I reinstalled everything on my HDD rather than my SSD. Then I went into the BIOS and changed my ram timings from 11-11-11-28 (Mobo default) to 7-8-7-24 (manufacturers recommended settings). Between these 2 things, my system has been running for almost a week new without blue screening. Sometimes I even left it on for a day straight to test. I'll be sending back my SSD for replacement, just in case it was the SSD. Thanks again for all your help rshaffer61.
