Hi I need help trying to remove whatever snuck its way into my computer! I had this problem before on windows xP, and now it's happened again. Basically what is happening is when I start up the computer its fine, 10 secs later it starts to become really really slow. I know In the task manager it shows random names/number combos followed by .exe. For example (igfxpers.exe) (eWWKK7ffRL.exe) (cRRZZ9hhTxj.exe) etc.. It multiplies itself in combos like that until it reaches 868 processes/ or until my computer becomes irresponsible. The thing that started all this is when my stupid brother who doesn't believe what I say about anime and still continues to watch it even though (adware/malware) lives on those sites, but yeah he basically clicked something I guess and that box popped up about "Security Software has found some infected documents or programs" basically a fake box saying download our software to remove fake viruses/infections that doesn't even exist on my computer. I tried to find the exact .exe that produces all this like last time but I cant! I cant even open system restore, or delete the accounts infected through control panel, so I am asking for anyone's help who can help me solve this problem/ stop it from happening again!

Thanks to anyone who helps me with this, I really do appreciate it!! Also I'm not some beginner on the computer I'm pretty intermediate, so I can follow steps pretty hastily.

Hello iLJ :),

Run this first.

Scan with RogueKiller
  • Please download RogueKiller© by Tigzy from one of the links below and save it to your desktop.
    Link 1
    Link 2
  • Allow the download if prompted by your security software and please close all your programs.
  • Double click on RogueKiller.exe to run it. If it does not run, please try a few times.
  • A program window will open. Type 1 for Scan and press Enter when prompted.
  • Once finished, Notepad will open with a log called RKreport.txt, located at the desktop.
  • Please copy and paste the contents of that log in your next reply.
--------------------

Then try DDS and aswMBR again. In case DDS has the same issue, skip it and proceed with aswMBR.

--------------------

Please post back:
1. RogueKiller log
2. DDS logs
3. aswMBR result
