Hey there, as the title says my laptop has broken, before breaking completely this happened:

When I was playing a video all of a sudden the screen went just white and pink, and the sound started lagging, and all I could was to turn it off. Then I tried to play the very same video, with the same result. I then abstained from playing this video again, and my computer worked fine. Then the next day when I tried to watch another video the same happened, or instead of the screen going all white, it showed this message:

And after some time, it was no longer able to even start up, it just shows a black screen and nothing happens.

So what do you make of this? What part of the computer is broken? And is repairing it a viable option?

Hi lo2
Sorry to hear you are having this issue, please provide the brand and model name or series number (not serial) so that we can do some research.
If you have more than one memory stick fitted try booting with only one stick at a time fitted, try each stick in each slot until all have been tested then post back with the results.
