Welcome to GeekstoGo

Unless that is 64 bit Windows go to Windows update, download and install Service Pack 3 and other critcial updates
Support by way of updates has finished for XP without SP3.
Additionally to that your integrated sound may then work

Is this computer branded - if so what is the make and full model please

In device manager what is shown in relation to sound, are there any warnings against the devices.
