If you are planning on buying a hard drive or a PC better do it soon!

Due to the floods in Thailand both Western Digital and Seagate are going to see a big drop in production so expect a shortage of drives and higher prices for the next few months. Western Digital's big plants are underwater. Seagate's are still OK but many of their suppliers are in a bad way so their production will suffer. Who knew Thailand was the world's second largest producer of hard drives?

Already too late in some cases, newegg has a limit of one drive per customer, and raised the price significantly. No Raid 0 for me today!
