I recently downloaded a software program on to my desktop upon installing it my system locked up and had to be restarted. I had trouble booting up but when it booted up all of my emails, contacts and internet favorites were gone. I did a system restore but I'm still unable to find these files. HELP!

It would help if you told us what program that was. You have nothing to shame yourself for. We all have installed some wrong programme in our life, that's why we are here.

Give us some website where you got it, so we can analyze it. I would certainly test it my own pc (as I got an ISO stored on DVD of my current stuff anyway)

OK, not as I expected.

Do this...search for *.dbx, making sure to look for hidden files and folders under ADVANCED in SEARCH.
