"Out of memory: line 17" error

Brand new Acer laptop. Ran just fine for 2 days when suddenly this morning (after MS downloaded about a million updates last night at shutdown)the error message comeds up on trying to access the net. "Out of mermory: line 17" which means absolutely nothing to me.

Thanks for any help

Do you get that for every website or only a particular one? Have you tried a different browser to see if error goes away?

Try updating the browser to IE 9(latest one). Even if you need to download the file and transfer it from another comp.
